Dr. Michelle Stalzer
Optometrist
Dr. Stalzer has been in practice since 2004, and is the first optometrist
in her family. Her pursuit to become an optometrist developed in 8th grade
when she was prescribed with glasses and contacts. Michelle attended the
University of Iowa, where she started the Pre-Optometry Club. After 3
years at Iowa, she was accepted to the Illinois College of Optometry, where she
completed her education. Michelle had a variety of externships during her
fourth year of Optometry School. She studied at White River Junction
Veterans Hospital in Vermont in the field of ocular disease, Wolfe Eye Clinic in
Iowa for ocular disease, Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas specializing in
contact lenses and Illinois Eye Institute for Pediatrics and Low Vision.
Her main goal as an optometrist is to help people obtain their best vision and
to address patient goals and needs.
